  I'm shooting for the most petty JW-caused problem/complaint

  ok, here's the deal.

  several years ago my brother-in-law (who is also a reformed jw fader) helped us move back to oklahoma.

  while we were taking apart furniture prior to the move we were using my drill and 75 foot extension cord.

  I Was Going To Ask...

  i was going to ask in the suggestion box if a forum for new posters who still believed in god and the bible could be formed here.

  then it dawned on me that most probably the owner of this discussion board and most posters here would be opposed to that idea.. please, be honest.

  would you rather those who believed in the bible and believed in the creator did not post here?

  This is outrageous

  has anyone found that the longer you are away from the witlesses the worse their mindf*** on your mind becomes.. i'm acting in such ways that i never even acted as a dub.

  it's like in everyway bad they might affect someone, it becomes exacerbated upon departure.

  i never used to be so afraid to try new things, even wholesome things, while i was a dub, no more than usual, now i get paralyzed by fear to do the simplist things, like seeing people or getting my life started.. i'm slowing doing these things anyway, but i'm so shocked at how difficult it is.

  The JW mindset about US is that once we get out, we seek to do all sorts of evil, immoral, outlandish things. WE once had that mindset when we were in the borg. The truth is that at the end of the day we really just want to live, just want to be happy and live without prejudice and hatred.

  i just came home from picking up my baby from school, and i see a brand new sign posted 4 doors from my house.. "building permit.

  issued for the construction of a new kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses".. i just can't seem to get away from them..

  I sooooo believe in getting a little help from a doctor at times like this, I've done it, countless others have done it. I took a mild anti-depressant/anxiety drug for about 18 months, I didn't need it forever. It helped me to be me, to deal with the pain of losing my family like I normally would. I still felt sad, but I FELT sad, I was no longer defeated and hopeless.

  Consider anything that will help you. And stay here, please keep us on top of how you are, everyday if you want to.

  Lets talk about 1975

  ok here's what i need, theres a group on facebook that has a kid that claims the events of 1975 are nothing but rubish, basically he says that it was the publishers who just started rumors, this is where you guys come in.. i want to show him that the society is responsible for 1975 that they did in fact lead millions to believe the end was coming that fall, that people actually did make dramatic changes in their lives ( getting dunked, selling houses, not having children, moving where the need is greater) you get the drift.

  i need the following:.

  watchtower, awake and any other publications where they even hinted at the 1975 dateand i think the most important would be to get some of you to tell me everything you know about 1975.and experinces, who of you made some drastic changes in anticipation of 1975?lola.

  I was 8 in 1976 when my mom said that she was relieved to be told that it was the publishers who claimed the end would come in 75 and not the society. She said that we can thank jehoohoo for correcting our thinking.

  Just the literature photocopies in Crisis of Conscience are proof enough that the society pushed that date.

  i aught not to laugh about this.....but it's one of those situations where you either laugh or cry!.

  we found out that my husband's sister was df'd a few months ago.

  we attempted to contact her but she will not speak to us and is still shunning us as apparantly we are 'spiritually weak' and she is attempting to be reinstated into the congregation.

  this morning, someone mistakenly text my cell phone asking that i send them some money.

  the text was addressed to "paul".

  my wife read the text, and jokingly asked me if i was "pretending to be paul".. i answered her, "paul?

  How Can We Reach Witnesses who Won't Believe Child Abuse Allegations?

  Remember that if they don't believe child abuse allegations, they won't believe anything; it's not like presenting the Trinity to a reg pio and getting a good arguement, it's easily a topic that they should heed to protect their own kids but they want to turn it into a fight.

  I emailed the America's Most Wanted page to my parents, they responded 'Isn't it wonderful that the elders protect the flock this way.' I said No, it's horrible that the elders protected a molester by enforcing the 2 witness rule and so many kids were harmed by a trusted MS.

  A KH is like an internet chat room --you don't know what people really are until Chris Anderson from Dateline walks in.

  Great idea: make copies of the page and place it on windshields at the local KHs so that people would be warned. I like it.
